The power of 3 — body, mind, spirit… maiden, mother, crone… past, present, future.
This circle is intentionally small, sacred, and potent.
The Experience
Ash & Alchemy is a guided ceremonial portrait experience with fire, rage, and rebirth. In these liminal autumn days, when the veil between worlds is still thin, we’ll gather in the forest to burn what no longer belongs to us and turn it into fuel for our rising.
This is your chance to let loose — scribble it down, set it aflame, smear the ash across your skin — and then move through ritual and creative flow that is equal parts cathartic and artful.
With Alyssa Rizzo, Modern Priestess, you’ll be led through ceremony, burning ritual, and ash anointing — a transformational process of release and reclamation. With Ria MacKenzie, Creative Photographer, you’ll be guided through embodied expression and photographed with styling props (veil, mirror, candles, and more) to mirror this passage of renewal.
Every photograph becomes an anchor — a playful, visceral reminder of what you let go of… and the audacious version of you that walked out of the flames.

FAQs
Where does this experience take place and who will be there?
Ash & Alchemy takes place in Ria’s private forest in Middleboro, MA. You’ll be guided by me, Ria (The Click Witch), and priestess Alyssa Rizzo who will be leading ceremony. It will be a small, intimate group gathering, designed so everyone feels safe and supported.
What should I bring to burn?
You’ll want to bring a symbolic item or two that represents what you’re ready to release — think an old journal, letters, contracts, certificates, or simply a handwritten piece of paper. We’ll provide the fire vessel and everything else needed for the ritual.
Do I need to know how to pose for the photos?
Not at all. My specialty is guiding you into natural, embodied expressions so you feel powerful and present. I’ll walk you through every moment — from working with veils and mirrors to marking yourself with ash — so the photos feel authentic, not staged.
What’s included in the $333 investment?
Your spot in the Ash & Alchemy ceremony, guided release ritual, artistic direction, styling props (veil, mirror, candles), and 5 high-end retouched digital images. You’ll also have the option to purchase additional images if you’d like to expand your collection.
What should I wear?
Come dressed in something that feels comfortable but intentional — flowy fabrics, darker tones, or anything that feels like you stepping into ritual. I’ll provide wardrobe guidance in advance and styling props will be available to layer into your look.
What if I’ve never done something like this before?
Perfect — you don’t need any prior experience with ritual, ceremony, or photography. Alyssa will guide you through the ceremonial aspects, and I’ll guide you through the artistic flow. All you need to bring is yourself and a willingness to release.
Will there be group photos and individual photos?
Yes. You’ll receive both individual portraits throughout the ritual and group photos during key moments. This creates a balance of personal empowerment and collective energy.
What happens if it rains?
We’ll keep an eye on the weather. If needed, we’ll reschedule for a backup rain date. You’ll be kept in the loop with plenty of notice.
Is this going to feel too heavy or serious?
Not at all. While rage and release are powerful themes, this experience isn’t about staying stuck in the heaviness — it’s about moving it through. Think of it as equal parts ritual and creative playdate. Yes, you’ll burn, you’ll smear ash, you might even stomp it out in the dirt — but you’ll also laugh, connect, and walk away feeling lighter (and with some seriously badass photos to prove it).
